Sweet Island Skunk plants produce heavy colas, with incredible resin production. The sativa genetics make her extra stretchy and, plants experience a strong surge of vertical growth after switching to a 12/12 flowering cycle.
If plant height is a concern, you might consider a brief veg period or topping them before putting them into flowering. Some growers even skip the veg process with this one and go straight into flowering once the young plants start showing their first true leaves.
Sweet Island Skunk is a low-maintenance plant that’s easier to grow than many other sativa dominant strains in her league.
SIS can provide a generous bounty when cultivated outdoors, with a yield of around 39oz/ plant. SIS is usually ripe for harvest from late September to mid-October. Indoor plants can provide optimal results utilizing the SCROG technique.
Staking is advised during the final weeks of flowering to help keep its massive branches from falling over. A harvest of around 21oz/m2 is standard after 7-9 weeks of indoor flowering.
