Lemon Tree Strain History
Lemon Tree strain is an award-winning 50/50 hybrid with a THC level reaching 25%. Lemontree is known for its sharp diesel and prominent lemon zest aroma. This Lemon Tree is a cross between Lemon Skunk with Sour Diesel and has become popular among many West Coast growers. The extra lemony Skunk #1 phenotype combined with the citrus and fuel like aromas of Sour Diesel are what help Lemon Tree climb higher than the rest.
Appearance
Lemon Tree buds are moss green colored and covered with tons of small white resin glands. The nugs are extremely dense and round like little lemons. The flowers grow exceptionally sticky and full of a delicious resin that can be transformed into sublime concentrates.
Aroma
Lemon Tree flowers emit a pungent, zesty, sliced lemon smell steeped in sweet pine needles and wet earth. There is an enticingly sweet and sour aroma with a swirling tropical funk. Grinding the buds creates a recognizable pink lemonade fragrance that will make you pucker. The smoke tastes like Sour Diesel with an earthy and fuel like punch.
Terpenes
The Lemon Tree strain lives up to its namesake by offering a complete lemon profile of terpenes and smell. Caryophyllene, myrcene, limonene, and pinene are the predominant terpenes found in Lemon Tree samples. These terpenes are being studied for their potential anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticancer, and heart-disease-fighting properties.
Cannabinoids
Lemon Tree ranges in 17-25% THC, with CBD levels generally below <1%. A reasonable strain for beginner use, Lemon Tree can also be enjoyed during the daytime. It is often prescribed for the treatment of stress, nervousness, PTSD, chronic pain, and inflammation.
Lemon Tree Effects
Lemon Tree cannabis offers a smooth energizing buzz that refreshes the body and eases the mind. The high arrives almost immediately and feels like a slight caffeine rush. Lemon Tree motivates the mind and helps keep you on track. The mental clarity can initiate a state of flow resulting in a heightened sense of focus and sensory experience. The buzz eventually mellows with a gentle transition into a feeling of profound relaxation. Lemon Tree is acceptable for first-time users and is a good daytime smoke that will keep you mentally focused and alert.
Growing Lemon Tree Seeds
These Lemon Tree plants thrive in both organic soil and hydroponics. Lemon Tree also does well using SOG or SCROG gardening techniques as long as the lighting, temperature, and humidity are in the optimal range. Lemon Tree seeds will produce plants that yield 12-17oz/m2 after 7 to 9 weeks of flowering. Indoor Lemon Tree plants respond well to vertical training methods such as bending and staking. Lemon Tree tends to prefer a greenhouse environment over a regular outdoor one. This strain loves long and warm sunny days that can be easier to manage within a greenhouse space. Outdoor plants are ready for harvest by mid to late October and can yield 17oz/plant.
