History of Critical Mass Strain
Critical Mass was initially bred by Mr. Nice Seeds while looking to create an updated version of the original Big Bud strain. Her genetic pedigree originates from a particularly heavy Afghani plant that was combined with the original Skunk#1, which is a Mexican/Columbian hybrid. The resulting Critical Mass was an impressive new strain that delivers a high yield harvest and potent medicinal stone.
Critical Mass Appearance
Dense and chunky colas are what Critical Mass is all about. An even coating of thick orange hairs wraps around the flowers which have a very low leaf to bud ratio. Critical Mass has a very nice plant metabolism and structure, an abundance of milky trichomes encrusts the monster-sized buds. The result is some extremely frosty and dense buds with a sharp flavor.
Aroma, Fragrance& Flavor
Critical Mass smells sweet, skunky and a little astringent like fresh orange peels. Some phenotypes have a melon and bubblegum flavor as well. The smoke is pungent, hashy and honey-sweet.

Growing Critical Mass Seeds

Known to produce kolas so large they literally snap off under their own weight, branches need to be kept an eye on to avoid damaging the plant. Mold can also be an issue due to the extreme size and density of the colas so, best keep the environment dry and well ventilated. An indoor Critical Mass plant can yield close to 30oz/m2 with the standard flowering time of 8-9 weeks. Outdoor plants will finish by late September and yield upwards of 21oz/plant.

Germinated two of the five seeds I bought, both have been a great success! Almost harvest time and anticipation is high! I recommend seed bank highly.
I soaked them for about 6 hours and sprouted as I usually do on a moistened paper towel in a closed container inside a dark cloth bag in my grow room. The hulls split the very next day and by day 2, I popped them on the dirt in 3 gallon pots and just sprinkled some soil over them. They visibly grew lots every day and actually started blooming during the 5th week. Tomorrow is week 8, they are stacking nicely. They aren't as short as I thought autos would be. One is 48 inches and the other is 30. I'm pleased so far.
Germinated 2 months ago hasn’t started to flower yet hopefully it’s coming soon the two super lemon haze were planted the same day for some reason one of the slh was stunted all 3 have had the same nutrients in happy frog and sohum living soil on a 20/4 light schedule
I accidentally fed week 8 nutrients when it should have been week 4. Plant quickly started to flower early. My fault. Easy grow otherwise and a decent yield.
These seeds were my first attempt at a grow, and super stoked about them. I had some struggles throughout growing, but all things I consider user error. It isn't a reflection of the quality of the seeds or plant. Nutrient burn/lockout, issues with timer and light shock, underestimated the final stretch and had heat/light burn towards the end. Honestly, Critical Mass was incredibly resilient and did a pretty awesome job in growing despite my slip ups. Grew in a 2 ft x 2 ft grow tent, final harvest was over 200g. Half of the harvest was sweet little frosty nugs good for smoking and the other half was scratch/shake loose flowers and sugar leaves that will be great for making edibles. The flavor/scent of this particular plant is skunky and pungent, mostly citrus and pine tree notes.
Seeds arrived fast and I planted/sprouted only one seed, popped 48 hours after planting. Shipping was discreet and fast once the payment was processed.
3 of 5 seeds sprouted, 1 of the sproutlings died, another one is stunted and is no longer growing and the last seedling is doing ok so far
